St Patrick’s Day - the most fun holiday around
St Patricks Day Parade, Dublin Ireland
The celebration in Ireland’s capital is a four-day affair, with the colorful March 17 parade kicking off at noon from Parnell Square and continues to O'Connell street.
– Most Dubliners will get up and go into the city centre and watch the parade, says 39 year old Colm Verdon, a resident of the city. Then afterwards most pubs will play some traditional Irish music, so we enjoy the atmosphere in them!
Looking for a good pub? Try The Brazen Head. It’s not only the city’s oldest pub, but the whole nation’s.

Foodmarket and music, Trafalgar Square, London UK
There isn’t a single Irish pub in London that doesn’t celebrate the holiday, but when it comes to the organized festival, Trafalgar Square is the place to be. There, you can enjoy everything from music and dancing to an Irish food market. When you crave a pint, give The Harp in Covent Garden a shot. It will most definitely be crowded, but they have a great selection of beers.

The green Chicago river, Chicago USA
Green is the color most associated with St Patrick’s day. It’s hard to miss no matter where the celebration, but in the Windy City they take it a step further by dyeing the Chicago River emerald green. If you want a good viewing spot for the event, try the east side of the Michigan Avenue Bridge. Not keen on crowded places? Go to the Trump International Hotel & Tower later in the afternoon for a drink in their bar overlooking the river.

Montserrat
If you want to celebrate St Patrick’s Day in a warmer climate, travel to the Carribean island of Montserrat – the only place outside of Ireland where it’s a public holiday. The festival runs for a week, this year from March 9th to the 17th, and mixes the traditionally Irish with African heritage and Carribean entertainment.
