Gelateria Vernazza
Moor your boat on the jetty in the tiny town of Vernazza for a cold, deliciously creamy Italian “gelato.” Locals swear by Gelateria Vernazza, which is rumored to serve the best ice cream on the entire coastline. Favorite flavors include fig and chocolate, and pistachio, of course. Vernazza itself is an Instagrammers’ paradise, so don’t be surprised if you find that you’re not the only tourists in town.

Guvano
Guvano is Cinque Terre’s most renowned naturist beach. Located right beneath Corniglia, it’s visible from the path that runs from Corniglia to Vernazza, but, like Canetto, can only be safely accessed from the sea. Guvano is a natural, pebble beach, boasting turquoise -waters and fragrant with Mediterranean flowers.

Where better to enjoy one of Cinque Terre’s world-famous sunsets than from your own boat, bobbing around on the glittering Mediterranean? Once the sun has set, moor in Rio-maggiore and head to Ristorante Dau Cila for dinner. Indulge in local specialties that include fresh fish, mussels and pasta with pesto – a classic dish that was first invented in these parts.

La Grotta del Pescecane
This secret cove is situated right next to Canetto Beach. La Grotta del Pescecane, translates as the Shark’s Cave, so swimming into it always comes with a tiny rush of adrenaline (even though no sharks have been spotted in these waters for years).

Stop for a swim at Canetto. This quiet beach, situated between Punta Castagna and Punta del Cavo, features a natural waterfall that cascades down the cliffs for anyone who enjoys an outdoor “rain-effect” shower. What’s more, Canetto is only accessible by boat, which means you are more than likely to have the beach all to yourself.
