Milton Glaser’s New York

The Morgan Library
The Morgan Library is a beautiful old building that has a large collection of books, original manuscripts, artwork, drawings (by such greats as Rembrandt and -Michelangelo) and documents (including the paper on which Bob Dylan first scribbled down “Blowin’ in the Wind” and “It Ain’t me Babe”). The library also organizes exhibitions, concerts, lectures and much more.

The High Line
The High Line is now a world famous public park, elevated above the streets of Manhattan’s West Side. Less well-known are the cultural opportunities it offers, including concerts, tours, outdoor dancing, tai chi, yoga and other exercise classes, meditation and much more.

The Rubin Museum
The Rubin Museum, my favorite in New York, focuses on the art and culture of the Himalayas. Its aim is to be accessible and evocative and to encourage understanding and greater engagement with the cultures it presents and explores.

Union Square Market
For freshly baked bread, fresh fruit and quality vegetables, head to Union Square Market on a Saturday. During the colder months, the warm apple juice here goes down a treat.
